LVUC represented at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church for prayer service

On Sunday, March 1, Lynn Valley United Church's Reverend Karen Millard and other faith leaders from around the lower mainland assembled at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church to commemorate the fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine.

The community and congregants of the church gathered together to acknowledge the endurance and courage of our Ukrainian neighbors and friends as we extended our prayerful and financial support. Those present also acknowledged the resilience of the Iranian people, and were honoured to welcome a local Iranian choir, who sang a beautiful rendition of, "My Country, I Will Build You Again".

We are pleased to announce that based on the freewill donations collected by attendees of the service, a total of $2,653 was raised for Help Us Help, which will benefit local children's camps and will be directed towards support for veterans in the Ukrainian-Canadian community.
