The Lead Minister Search Committee (Walter, Judith, Myrna, Jennifer, and Rhelda) have now reached the stage of interviewing shortlisted candidates. There will be one or two interviews, followed by negotiation of terms with the recommended candidate. The next stage will be presentation of the recommended candidate to the congregation at a special general meeting called for the purpose.
We are trying to complete this process as soon as possible, so watch for information about a call to a special general meeting in early March. A frequently asked question is “Has Karen applied for the job?” Unfortunately, the team is not permitted to share any information about candidates. We will share as much information as possible, in as timely a way as possible.

Chair, Lead Minister Search Team
Prayer Request:
The Search Teams for both the Lead Minister and Associate Minister (respectively) continue their hard work in interviewing candidates. These chosen candidates will become permanent additions to the growing LVUC Ministry Team and will help to nurture and grow the congregation, inspiring its members to become closer to God, each other, and their own spiritual selves.
As we take these very important steps towards adding to our congregational family, we ask that you "dream big" with us. You can support the Search Teams in a tangible way by praying for them and the important work that they will be doing in the coming days and months. Please ask God to help guide them towards candidates that will support the church and its members for many years to come. In a time in which leadership and strength in the face of adversity can be a challenge, we pray that the Search Teams feel empowered in their decision-making capabilities and are able to continue to work together towards the best possible outcome.
