When you're at a loss in thinking critically about what the bible says about same-sex this workshop is for you. the first workshop in the Affirmining Ministry process, Jesus and the Clobber Texts take participants on a deep dive into the six scripture passages in the bible the church has used to justify its historic bigotry and abuse of the LGBTQ2S community.  Knowing what the bible says and what it means is critical if we're going to become an Affirming Ministry of the United Church of Canada.  Lead Minister, Blair Odney will speak on each of the six texts and participants will be invited to engage in deep conversation about their meaning, and ask any question that is on their mind.
