Wisdom from Creation

In Proverbs, Wisdom is personified as a woman, present at and involved in creation. We learn that Wisdom is often used to represent the Holy Spirit and the pre-incarnate Jesus of Nazareth.  Moreover, one recurrent theme in Scripture is that Wisdom comes from God. It can be accessed through the study of God’s world, nature, and the study of God’s Word, Scripture. Proverbs 1:26-30 raised an interesting point on how disasters can befall those who ignore God’s Wisdom. Repetitively and charmingly, Proverbs teaches us about the good life and how to attain it; the foolish life and how to avoid it and lessons for daily living.
