On March 13th, we will be observing the second Sunday of Lent. Lent is a time to learn how to listen to the Spirit’s instruction as we journey together, remembering and doing what Jesus did. We pay closer attention to what Jesus wants to say amid prejudice and discrimination. During lent, our God is not distant from us as we journey. God is generous and loving. God wants to share God’s life with us, abundant life of healing, peace and service to the world and each other. But sometimes, we’re just too afraid.

We don’t want others to know who we are, the message we have may not be popular, and we may appear weak or foolish if people know we are using our ‘Time’, ‘Talents’, ‘Terrain’ and ‘Treasure’ for God’s purpose. But beloved of God, the community needs you, the world needs you, and those excluded require you. Let us be Bold, - Public, Intentional and Explicit (PIE) in our Service to God, each other and the world by using our Talent.

Our reading this week is 2 Kings 7:3-20, but a question to ask is does it have anything to say about faithful stewardship of natural talents and spiritual gifts and using them to glorify God and edify others. Additionally, can we find any reason for PIE engagement in the reading?

Join us this Sunday 13th March @ 10:30 am, either in-person or online via YouTube.
