Precautionary Measures for Church Reopening

Greetings,  family, and friends of Lynn Valley United Church.

As I penned this note I was greatly reminded that “the necessity of life rarely comes from one’s own hands, but rather from a complicated web of mutuality”. There is something special about community that has this web of mutuality that we need to flourish. With that said, we take this opportunity to inform you that – Lynn Valley United Church will be open for in-person worship on February 13, 2022, at 50%  capacity.   It will take time for all of us to get comfortable once again and we need to be careful how we manage people’s expectations and the concern for the safety of all. Our reopen requires that:

§ Service will be live-streamed for those who are unable to attend for any reason.

§ You Must Wear Your Mask at all times on our premises. § Masks must be worn during congregational singing.

§ Greeters must wear masks and be double vaccinated.

§ Sanitize or wash hands upon arriving and departing premises. § You are encouraged to maintain a reasonable distance from one another (unless from the same household).

§ If you are feeling unwell, please stay home and contact your health care provider.

§ No coffee, tea, or refreshment will be served.

§ Small groups such as Board of Governance, Waves, Spiritual Practices, Choir and etc. Must Wear Masks and Be Double Vaccinated to meet in person.

I give you these encouraging words as we prepare to gather. As the Holy Spirit moves freely amongst us; equipping us, challenging us, comforting us, and teaching us, let us be inspired to share these as we learn more about its majestic ways.
