One of the blessings of being in a community of believers, working, praying, worshiping, and engaging in spiritual practices, is the joy of journeying in discipleship. Sometimes the blessings are small, sometimes significant. On occasion, there is a real need to encourage each other to stand our ground, to keep going when the going gets tough; to keep on keeping on. Yet, the reality is before us. There is no hiding from the challenges of 2021 and staying true to our values and mission as people of God; a journey of discipleship.

Through Philippians 4:4-9, Paul brings to our awareness that some believers who have not begun their journey well, after a while, started thriving and then started struggling for the gospel. Because of the struggle, they seem to be having second thoughts. In light of this, Paul called the believers to “Rejoice in the Lord always.” (Philippians 4:4). He encouraged them to rejoice in all the goodness found in God and Her blessing.

Join us this week as we experience the Advent Season together, rejoicing, praying, and celebrating.
