Lynn Valley United "Amblers"

It is hard to believe but our small team of Amblers (Franklyn, Marilyn, Niki, Myrna, Kelly, Joan W and Judith) pulled in $5720 (so far!) for First United Ministry Society to support their programs in Downtown Eastside of Vancouver. That was even more than our record-breaking total from last year ($4750.)

We are undeniably punching above our weight. We are number 6 of the 36 teams raising funds through the Coldest Night event for First United. By comparison, our good neighbour Highlands United Church  North Vancouver (a much larger church)  was #2 with a team of 15, which raised $9338.00

We picked a chilly but clear night to walk around Lynn Valley, had fun, got to know each other a little better as we walked, and at the same time made a difference in the world.
