Sign up for Listening Sessions now

During the past few years, we have all experienced a number of significant changes and events that have affected Lynn Valley United Church.  Long and short-term pastoral and congregational relationships have come and gone and the Covid pandemic has been with us for more than 3 years.  These events have been challenging and have created
stress and discomfort.  As part of the process to heal ourselves and to re-establish our sense of purpose, the Transition Team is scheduling Listening Sessions for all who wish to participate.

Many of you will have received an invitation by email or have seen it in this week’s e-News.  You are invited to a time of personal reflection and sharing about how the past few years at Lynn Valley United Church have affected you.  The Team will provide anonymous data to the Board to help it create a new strategic plan for LVUC.  The Board will consider how people felt over the last few years and their hopes for the future of the church.

The sessions will be confidential.  We hope that most of you will come and share your thoughts and experiences with us.  Invitations were handed out by members of the Team after the service on Sunday, May 7th.   We would like to get all sessions completed by the end of May, if possible.  We really do want to hear how the past few years have been for you, so please give this your careful consideration – and sign up soon to get a time slot that suits you best.

Feel free to contact the LVUC members of the Transition Team (Mary Yan, Neil Jorgensen or Roger Eastwood) with any questions or to sign up for your session.  Deadline for signing up is May 21.

Happy to give feedback. Spiritual practices have helped me immensely during the pandemic as a health care worker.
