It's Cold Outside!

Baby, it’s cold outside! Our Coldest Night of the Year 2022 walk will be on Friday,  February 25

Every year, Canadians mark a designated “Coldest Night of the Year” by walking to raise money for their favourite charity that serves the homeless, hungry, and hurting. For LVUC, this is First United Community Ministry Society (commonly known as First United.) The LVUC Social Justice Team invites you to participate by joining the team or making a donation in support of our team, the Lynn Valley Amblers. We don’t just want you and your company; we want you to get your friends and family and neighbours to support you in this.

You have been hearing a lot about First United and their drive for a new building.  There is a catch: they still have programs to run in the meantime!  Our team is the Lynn Valley Amblers. That might sound like we have low-level
ambitions but that is not true. Last year, with only 7 team members, we raised $4750, attracting 71 donors! Of the 25 teams in the Lower Mainland walking in support of First United, we ranked #5.

Wouldn’t it be amazing to keep that up?  You can participate by: Signing up to walk (and fundraise) or Making a donation.

There is maximum flexibility for participating: You can walk by yourself or with a group., on Feb 25 or some other day or night. We will plan to walk in Lynn Valley but you can walk anywhere.
