Amid a noisy crowd, there can always be heard one clear voice.  I learned this as I stood in a large gathering one chilly fall day in 2011.  The Moose Hide Campaign was being launched on the steps of the BC Legislature.  There were so many people speaking their messages and live stories.  Yet, in and through it all, there was one clear voice: a future with no violence against women.

Pentecost celebrates the excitement of understanding someone else's story.  Churches like LVUC have learned, under Eric's leadership, to listen deeply, offering respect and patience as the talking stick is passed and people, one by one, "check-in".  this Pentecost Sunday models a way to go even further into one another's spiritual journey.  Let us be ready to celebrate the Holy Spirit's language of story.
