If you have ever truly been lost, you will know how frightening that experience is. But to lose yourself in something is another thing, altogether.

Based on the ancient mindfullness tool used around the globe for millenia, a labyrinth represents many things, but at its core is a symbolic, physical journey to the centre of yourself.

The Labyrinth at Lynn Valley United is open to the public for Culture Days to offer the community an opportunity for a contemplative connection to the physical and metaphysical self... what you discover or learn along the way is entirely up to you!

Modeled after the Chartres Labyrinth in France, the Labyrinth at Lynn Valley United is an elegant expression of medieval sacred geometry. Its single path to the centre loops back and forth in an intricate pattern that supports cross-hemisphere brain function while allowing one to get lost in thought without ever getting lost! There is no right or wrong way to encounter the labyrinth; be is a simple mechanical movement or an intense prayer-filled conversation with the divine.
