Anyone with kids, or who believes themselves to be a kid-at-heart, knows that balloons bring out some serious all-ages fun! Mix in some costumes, silly hats, ‘spooky’ food and tiny portions of candy and the result is a Halloween celebration at Eat Play Love that put a smile on everyone’s face.
Eat Play Love is a monthly program offered by the Children, Youth and Family Team to celebrate and cultivate intergenerational relationships in our community. Crafts and conversation, a healthy meal and an intentional family-friendly time of worship focussed on the foundational stories of our faith are the backdrop to the program, with the added benefit of having a regular opportunity to build connection and friendship with people who have children.
There is an open invitation to families of all kinds to come to Eat Play Love on the 4th Wednesday each month, but anyone who loves the kind of connection that sharing stories over a shared meal provides is welcome to attend.
Eat Play Love usually asks for a goodwill donation to offset the cost of the meal and supplies and starting in November, will request $10 per adult attending to help support our programs for children, youth, and families. Kids will always be free!
The next Eat Play Love will be all about Advent and takes place on November 23 at 5pm. ALL are welcome and you can reserve your spot by emailing Eric at email@example.com with your name, number of family members attending, meat or veggie option and any other dietary needs/concerns!
(and please note that an Eat Play Love Christmas celebration will take place, with the date adjusted to December 14)
