The black with three crosses represents the greatest evil imaginable. The red, sliced and torn like Jesus’s back after being whipped with the lash, with a row of sharp barbs across, like the crown of thorns, represents intolerable pain.
Between great evil and intolerable pain, is a stripe of white. White is the Christ Banner. White on the Banners is Christ. Always with us, always there. Always standing with us, holding us, even in times of unimaginable evil or intolerable pain.
Beautiful work. All your banners are great and add so much to our church.
