This year the Children, Youth, and Family Ministry are supporting the North Shore Youth Safe House as an Advent outreach initiative.  The North Shore Youth Safe House provides emergency and long-term shelter and other support services to homeless and at-risk youth aged 13-18 on the North Shore.  This year during Advent, the LVUC Kid’s Club will be making Christmas ornaments that will be available for purchase, by donation, after Sunday Service on December 19.  In addition to the money we raise for the North Shore Youth Safe House, we will also be collecting new items that are desperately needed for these at-risk youth.  In the community room at LVUC, the kids have a Christmas tree with large baskets underneath.  Please help us fill them with the following items for teens: pj’s, socks, underwear, toothbrushes, toothpaste, body wash, shampoo, etc., and small denomination ($5-$10) gift cards for places like Tim Hortons, Subway, McDonald’s, etc.

We appreciate your help in helping us help others this holiday season!
