In Isaiah 46:9 the Lord commands, “Remember your history, your long and rich history. I am God, the only God you’ve had or ever will have – incomparable, irreplaceable – From the very beginning telling you what the ending will be, all along letting you in on what is going to happen, assuring you, ‘I’m in this for the long haul, I’ll do exactly what I set out to do."

Lynn Valley United Church has a long and wonderful history. I became interested in the church's history when I began attending here a few years ago. I have put together an abbreviated history of Lynn Valley United Church taken from the References listed at the end of the history. Refer to the References listed in the history should you desire more information.

The LVUC History was published on the church web page and the link can be found under About Us. You can observe the history by clicking on the link provided. Please feel free to make comments and corrections and also to provide additonal things you would like included. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

Thanks for doing this Joe, a beautifully succinct telling of our story. For those interested in a deeper dive, I am reminded that Marion Kirk has a lot of memorabilia from old photo albums, especially those made by Josie Jantz, and there was a lovely video production made by Marion and Greg Dixon marking the opening of the new (2016) building.
