LVUC will be seeking a full time Interim or Supply Minister from January 1, 2022 to June 30, 2024. This job will be posted shortly, within a week or so, on the United Church ChurchHub website. Ideally we would like an Interim Minister who has specific training to assist congregations in transition, but if such a person is not available, we will look at a Supply Minister.

The two main goals for this position will be worship leadership and healing and reconciliation for the congregation.

The 18-month term of this position is to allow the congregation to better prepare for its next steps. For example, working on the Strategic Plan and holding Listening Circles for the congregation will take place during this time – and more information on these will come as we get closer to them.

The Ministry and Personnel Committee has been appointed to lead the interview process, to begin as soon as possible. M&P will make a recommendation to the Board for approval and the congregation will be advised promptly.

As always, please don’t hesitate to ask any member of M&P or the Board if you have questions. They are working hard to put things in place to support us all through this transition.
