Lynn Valley United Church has contracted with Alan Marriott, artistic director for "Ad Libretto," to deliver Friday Night Live each Friday evening at 7:30pm.
Ad Libretto are professional actors who specialize in music and comedy improvisation, and offer this weekly exploration of "living in the moment" - offering a kind of spiritual practice akin to meditation, except that participants are given skits to focus on, and "altered consciousness" is achieved through laughter, humour, and music.
The show is not religious in nature, but each week is centered around a positive and uplifting theme.
A special guest joins the AdLibretto cast each week - singers, musicians, story-tellers, actors, composers... offering their varied talents, along with a brief interview exploring inspiration, challenges, and other insights into artistic life.
Admission is by donation (suggested $10 each) with the doors open at 7pm for the 7:30 show for a chance to grab a complimentary coffee from our friends at Lynn Valley Waves.
