Friday Night Live

Friday Night Live

Life. Unscripted.

Fiday Night Live explores 'Life' through the lens of musical improvisation. And through that lens we know for certain, as we become present in each moment, the richness of life is fully realized. Life is not lived in a past remembered or a future imagined .... it is lived in the present moment.

Friday Night Live is a weekly improvised community experience which invites people of all ages to connect as community through the lens of performing arts.  Throught this, we celebrate the interconnectedness of us all.

Expert improvisers take the stories offered by the community, and craft musical reflections of those stories. The Ad Libretto company,  a troupe of professional improvisers who specialize in music and comedy improvisation, (Alan Marriott, Artistic Director) offer this weekly exploration of "living in the moment" -  kind of spiritual practice akin to meditation, except that participants enjoy the wonder of seeing their own stories and suggestions in the unfolding skits  and "altered consciousness" is achieved through laughter, humour, and music.
Each week is centered around a positive and uplifting theme - improvised.  All performances are family friendly.
A special guest joins the AdLibretto cast each week - singers, musicians, story-tellers, magicians, actors, composers... offering their varied talents, along with a brief interview exploring inspiration, challenges, and other insights into artistic life.
