Labyrinth - Walking in community
October 4, 2017
Walking the labyrinth can be deeply meditative. For many people, there is something about the act of walking and following the path that allows one to open to deep reflection. It's a kind of solitary journey that opens space deep inside.
While the internal journey is solitary, there is also something particularly powerful about walking the labyrinth with others. It is a deep experience of self in community that opens different kinds of reflections. The addition of music adds yet another element.
Lynn Valley United is hosting Labyrinth Walking weekly. Each week of the month will have a slightly different focus.
On the 1st Wednesday of each month, we will host an afternoon walk from 1:30 - 3 p.m. with traditional and familiar hymns played on the piano.
On the 2nd Wednesday of each month, we will host a morning walk between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m.
On the 3rd Wednesday of each month, we will host an evening walk between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. with live music.
There is an evening walk at 7 p.m. every Wednesday following the 6 pm - 7 pm Contemplative Prayer practice.
The labyrinth is available for walking Tuesday - Friday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or call the office.
