Friday Night Live

Friday Night Live starts up its 2018 season with a FNL fave - Beverley Elliott!  

Beverley has over 100 film and TV credits. She is well known around the world for her recurring role as “Granny” on ABC’s hit series, ONCE UPON A TIME. Other film credits include Clint Eastwood’s Academy Award-winning UNFORGIVEN, (Clint personally thanked her in front of billions of people at the Oscars!), SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELLING PANTS, and SANTA CLAUSE TWO.  

In addition to her film and TV work, Beverley is a successful singer and songwriter.   She describes her music as earthy, inspiring folk with a pop twist. Beverley  has released four CDs: Yellow Dress (solo), The Sweetest Day (with her group, August) and two children’s CDs – Dream Child and Magic Carpet Ride. Her children’s CDs have been used to soothe sick kids at children’s health care facilities including Ronald McDonald House and Canuck Place. Her brand new CD Sunday Morning, will be available soon.  

If you haven't been before, the flow of FNL works like this:  

The doors open at 7:30 for Kelly's Famous Kitchen Party - pizza and snacks and mingling to get to know each other in our community!  Tickets for FNL are $10 for those over 12 years of age.  January 19th is a FNL 'wine night'.  We have a 'special occasion' liqour licence to be able to let those over 19 enjoy a glass of wine or two with the show ($5/glass) 

At 8 pm, the show starts, with a warm welcome from Blair, an introduction of the 'idea' of the night, and some community conversation to get us started.  

By 8:10, our guest artist starts .... using the theme of the evening as inspiration for their performance.  There is a short break in the 50 minute set for an interview to get to know the artists story, and then our artist continues their performance.  

By 9 pm or shortly after, you can stay to mingle and chat, or head off in the evening ... until next Friday!  (Friday Jan 26th will feature dancer Caroline Bergonzoni!)
